Michter’s US★1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash takes the distillery’s award-winning Sour Mash Whiskey and adds another layer of depth through a carefully selected toasted barrel finish.

After its initial maturation in new fire-charred American white oak barrels, the whiskey is transferred into a second custom barrel constructed from 18-month air-dried wood that is toasted, but not charred. The result is a rich, approachable whiskey that balances sweetness, fruit, spice, and toasted oak beautifully.

Expect inviting notes of toffee, buttery vanilla, honey, milk chocolate, and orange peel, followed by developing flavors of cherry, warming spice, and toasted campfire character. The secondary maturation adds complexity without overpowering the soft, elegant personality of Michter’s classic Sour Mash Whiskey.
